I just wanted to drop a quick note regarding Vicky Petty. My wife Tina and I have known Vicky for over twenty years. We were referred to her in 1997 or 1998 by another real estate friend who had retired. Vicky helped us buy our second home, and if I am being honest, I was pretty picky about what we wanted so it took a number of months and a lot of looking before she found us the perfect home in Newbury Park. She managed to get us in to look at this house before it officially went on the market, so we were able to get it without any competition. Vicky also set us up with a mortgage loan broker to get us prequalified. That purchase could not have gone any better.
Because we’d had such a positive experience with Vicky, I asked her to sell my mother’s home when it came time for her to move in with my sister. Again, if I’m being honest, I was very firm on getting the highest price for my mom’s home and Vicky worked her magic with the buyer’s real estate agent to make that happen. As part of my mother moving in with my sister, Vicky helped my sister and brother-in-law find and purchase a home large enough to accommodate my sister’s family and my mom. The thing that was above and beyond in that transaction was that the house they bought was off of the market at the time. Vicky has previously seen the house when it was on the market, and even though the sellers had taken it off, Vicky approached them and put together the transaction.
Vicky also helped my daughter and son-in-law avoid buying into a bad deal and steered them toward a beneficial deal when they bought their first home. She did this out of our long standing friendship and did not receive any compensation for her time and expertise. Vicky then helped my son and daughter-in-law sell their condominium and purchase their first house.
And most lately, Vicky sold the house in Newbury Park she helped us buy 21 years ago, and we could not have been more pleased with how well the sale went.
As long as we have known Vicky, and with as many transactions as she has helped our family with, I have come to know that she is tireless and determined without being aggressive, she is professional and personable at the same time, she is humorous, intelligent, and knows her business very well. We are pleased to have her as our friend, and as the family real estate agent.
